FAQs
\nWhat court size is recommended?
For a dedicated home basketball court, a 45′ × 30′ concrete area is recommended. This size allows space for a full three-point line and comfortable shooting.
Is the Dominator basketball hoop durable?
Yes. The Dominator outdoor basketball hoop is built with 6061 T6 aluminum and stainless steel hardware, backed by a lifetime warranty for long-term durability.
How high is the quality of the hoop?
Each Dominator adjustable basketball hoop is engineered with premium materials, precision welds, and high-performance components to deliver professional-level quality and performance.
What makes this hoop different from others?
Unlike many systems, Dominator uses rust-proof aluminum construction, telescoping height adjustment, and a single extension arm design, creating a more durable and efficient basketball hoop system.
How much space is needed behind the hoop?
The crank handle extends about 8 inches from the pole. We recommend 12–16 inches of clearance behind the hoop for comfortable height adjustment.
Is tempered glass stronger than acrylic?
Both materials are strong. Tempered glass provides better rebound performance, while acrylic may crack instead of shatter if damaged.
Will the hoop rust over time?
No. The system is built from rust-proof aluminum and stainless steel hardware, preventing corrosion in outdoor conditions.
How long does installation take?
Most installations take 45–60 minutes with two adults, depending on experience.
Can it be installed on existing concrete?
Yes. You can install it next to existing concrete or break through the slab to set the anchor system if necessary.
What is the lowest adjustable height?
The hoop adjusts down to 7 feet, which meets ASTM safety standards for adjustable basketball hoops.
Does Dominator offer installation services?
Dominator does not install hoops directly, but authorized dealers and installers nationwide can assist with installation.
