The 72×42\" perforated aluminum backboard is shatterproof by design — it flexes under impact for consistent rebound without the breakage risk of glass. Same 6061 T6 aluminum frame, same 7-crank vertical adjustment, same lifetime warranty. At 325 lbs it's actually lighter than the glass model, making installation easier without giving anything up on performance.</p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img src=\"/_m/cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0866/0779/0390/files/IMG_1869-768x1024_1024x1024.jpg?v=1773894820\" alt=\"\" style=\"float: none;\"></div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Shatterproof regulation-size backboard</strong> — 72\"×42\" perforated aluminum; flexes under impact for consistent rebound; zero breakage risk.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Height adjusts 7–10 ft in 7 cranks</strong> — True vertical adjustment keeps rim-to-free-throw distance consistent at every height.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Rust-proof 6061 T6 aluminum frame</strong> — Same alloy used in automotive, aircraft, and marine industries; stainless steel hardware throughout.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Lighter than the glass model at 325 lbs</strong> — Easier to install without sacrificing stability or regulation performance.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>4-piece assembly</strong> — Main post, overhang arm, backboard, and rim; step-by-step guide included; most installs take 45–60 minutes with two adults.</li>\n<li>\n<strong>Limited lifetime warranty</strong> — Backed by Dominator's limited lifetime warranty on the system.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Specifications</h3>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Specification</strong></th>\n<th style=\"width: 52.8969%;\"><strong>Details</strong></th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Model</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">724-APA</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Backboard Size</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">72\" × 42\"</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Backboard Material</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">3/8\" Perforated Aluminum (shatterproof)</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Overhang</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">4 ft</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Pole Size</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">Main Pole: 8\" × 8\"; Overhang Arm: 6\" × 6\"</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Height Range</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">7 ft – 10 ft</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Anchor Bolt Pattern</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">10\" × 10\"</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Hinging Base</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">Yes</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>System Material</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">Rust-Proof Aluminum</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Total Weight</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">325 lbs</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Regulation Size</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">Yes</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 46.7434%;\"><strong>Warranty</strong></td>\n<td style=\"width: 52.8969%;\">Limited Lifetime</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<h3>What's in the Box</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Hoop Assembly</li>\n<li>Rim</li>\n<li>Backboard</li>\n<li>Backboard Pads</li>\n<li>Anchor Bolts</li>\n<li>Anchor Cover</li>\n<li>Base Pad</li>\n<li>Instruction Manual</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Before You Buy — What You Should Know</h3>\n<p><strong>Shipping:</strong> Ships free to the contiguous United States. Contact our team for estimated delivery timelines before ordering.</p>\n<p><strong>Installation:</strong> This is an in-ground system requiring concrete anchor work. Most installs take 45–60 minutes with two adults. Dominator does not offer direct installation — contact us and we can connect you with authorized installers in your area.</p>\n<p><strong>Warranty:</strong> Covered by Dominator's limited lifetime warranty. Contact our team for full terms.</p>\n<p><strong>Who It's For:</strong> Serious home court players and facilities that want regulation-size performance without glass breakage risk. Ideal for high-traffic courts, schools, and recreational facilities. For glass rebound preference at the same size, see the 72\" Glass model.</p>\n<p><strong>Support:</strong> Our team can help with court sizing, installer referrals, and accessory selection. We've done the research. You make the decision.</p>\n<h3>FAQs</h3>\n<p><strong>What court size is recommended?</strong><br>For a dedicated home basketball court, a 45′ × 30′ concrete area is recommended. This allows space for a full three-point line and comfortable shooting.</p>\n<p><strong>Is the Dominator basketball hoop durable?</strong><br>Yes. Built with 6061 T6 aluminum and stainless steel hardware, backed by a lifetime warranty.</p>\n<p><strong>What makes this hoop different from others?</strong><br>Rust-proof aluminum construction, true vertical telescoping height adjustment, and a single extension arm design — more durable and efficient than traditional systems.</p>\n<p><strong>How much space is needed behind the hoop?</strong><br>The crank handle extends about 8 inches from the pole. We recommend 12–16 inches of clearance for comfortable height adjustment.</p>\n<p><strong>Is tempered glass stronger than acrylic?</strong><br>Both are strong. Tempered glass provides better rebound performance; acrylic may crack rather than shatter if damaged.</p>\n<p><strong>Will the hoop rust over time?</strong><br>No. Rust-proof aluminum and stainless steel hardware prevent corrosion in outdoor conditions.</p>\n<p><strong>How long does installation take?</strong><br>Most installations take 45–60 minutes with two adults.</p>\n<p><strong>Can it be installed on existing concrete?</strong><br>Yes — next to existing concrete, or through the slab to set the anchor system.</p>\n<p><strong>What is the lowest adjustable height?</strong><br>7 feet, meeting ASTM safety standards for adjustable basketball hoops.</p>\n<p><strong>Does Dominator offer installation services?</strong><br>Dominator does not install hoops directly. Contact us and we can connect you with authorized installers in your area.</p>\n<h3>Resources</h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"/_m/cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0866/0779/0390/files/2._2026_Dominator_Catalog_compressed.pdf?v=1773658330\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Product Brochure</a></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>You May Also Like</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<a href=\"/products/dominator-72-glass-basketball-adjustable-hoop-724-aa\">Dominator 72\" Glass Hoop</a> — same regulation size with a tempered glass backboard for glass rebound preference.</li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"/products/dominator-60-glass-basketball-adjustable-hoop-603-aa\">Dominator 60\" Glass Hoop</a> — 60\" tempered glass with 3 ft overhang for slightly smaller court setups.</li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"/products/dominator-basketball-court-light-full-assembly\">Dominator Court Light</a> — extend your game into the evening with a purpose-built court lighting system.</li>\n</ul>","brand":"Dominator","offers":[{"title":"Brushed Aluminum","offer_id":53782457155894,"sku":"724-APA","price":3199,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"Black","offer_id":53782457188662,"sku":"724-APA-B","price":3699,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"https://img-v2-prod.whop.com/unsafe/plain/https%3A%2F%2Fassets-2-prod.whop.com%2Fpublic%2Fuploads%2F2026-10-06%2Ff2ddc288-7083-41ea-bbc4-52b52e21e95a%2Fimage.webp@webp","url":"https://prestigeaid.com/products/dominator-72-pro-aluminum-shatter-proof-basketball-adjustable-hoop-724-apa","provider":"Prestige Aid","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
